Under The Gun Review: MUSIC HISTORY CLASS: Enema of the State →

    underthegunreview:

On this day in 1999, pop-punk icons, Blink-182, released their mainstream shattering third album, Enema of the State. The album sold four times more than Blink’s underground breakthrough, Dude Ranch (1997), and would go on to be a massive world-wide seller. By August 1999, Enema of the State was certified Platinum, selling over 3 million copies during the second half of the year alone. As of today,

Patrick Stump: WE LIKED YOU BETTER FAT: CONFESSIONS OF A PARIAH →

    nervousbreakdance:

There’s this really nice piece at underthegunreview.net by Jacob Tender that a friend forwarded me today. It’s about how important Fall Out Boy’s album “From Under the Cork Tree,” was to him. After reading it though, nostalgic and well-written as it was, I really found myself more depressed than…

Under The Gun Review: Drive-Thru Records Release Update →

    underthegunreview:

Drive-Thru Records is coming out of hibernation to release their first music in four years, with The Stellar Life. The label’s current status was defined in the most recent quote from Drive-Thru’s own Richard and Stephanie Reines so please check it out by simply looking below. Are you excited for the return of Drive-Thru?!

UTG will have more developing news on the label as the weeks go on so keep it locked right here.

“We (Richard and Stephanie) manage them and we/they wanted to release the single on DTR because we loved it and it reminds us of the heyday of our label. This isn’t even close to their best song either- we are saving those for their CD! They might release the CD on their own, we might do it with them on DTR (It would be the first release in almost 4 years) but it would be a 50/50 deal and not a signing like we used to do. We want them to have total freedom and 100% creative control. So basically, it’s all up in the air right now.”

MUSIC VIDEO: The Dangerous Summer - No One’s Gonna Need You More

    underthegunreview:

The Dangerous Summer have released their music video for the song “No One’s Gonna Need You More,” that comes off of the group’s latest release War Paint.

The band takes the popular “lyrics on objects” approach and do a decent job at getting the love theme across.

I can’t say I’m really digging this video but give it a shot and let UTG know what you think!
