are battling it out! The winner of this will determine who reps Pop Punk/Rock/Alternative/Emo in a battle against 4 other rooms! It all begins at 10pm EST! Come enjoy the best of the best tunes and vote! Rock on.

The Battle to Battle for PPRAE! is tonight! I hope everyone’s getting their queues ready! 

The theme poll is closing at 6pm EST, but it’s looking like we’ll be having an acoustic battle.

This is gonna be so much fun!
Don’t be scared to participate. Although this is a battle, it’s all in good fun.

-No electric guitar at all.
-piano/acoustic is cool
-No repeats. Pay attention. Everything that gets played will be posted on Facebook.
-3 songs per DJ.
-5 DJs per round. Most awesome per round will advance to the finals, on a date TBA.

On Monday, April 9th, Pop Punk/Rock/Alternative/Emo is holding a battle to battle for our honor!

Each participating DJ will have a limit of 3 songs to get as many awesomes as they can! To level out the playing field, our battle will have a theme. We’ve got a poll going, to determine what the theme will be. The poll will be open until 6pm EST on Monday. At that time, PPRAE will announce via twitter, tumblr, and facebook what the Battle Theme will be.

At 7PM EST the battle sign-up will begin.

The battle will start promptly at 8PM EST on Monday. We will keep going until everyone who signed up has had a chance to compete.

The most awesomed DJs from each round will advance to the finals.

Finals will be held on a yet-to-be-determined date.

The winner will get the chance represent PPRAE in a larger battle, against 4 other Turntable.FM rooms!
We are going up against: Mixxx’s Fun House, Rock. Nothing But…, Turntable Rock Stars

Last night we held our first ever room battle in PPRAE. We posted a poll on facebook to determine what the theme of the battle would be. “Covers” won, with “90’s Songs” coming in second.

Each participating DJ was given a 3 song set to try and accumulate the most awesomes. 19 DJs in 4 rounds. Since the Punk Goes compilations were disqualified, we enjoyed an array of covers that knocked our socks off! 

Congrats to Mriss for taking home the trophy!

• As usual, you can play ANYTHING, just no dubstep.
• Do not repeat anything that was already played. If you have a cover by a different artist than one that was previously played, that’s cool.
• No Punk Goes Pop/Crunk/80’s/anything covers.
• Make sure your 3 songs are properly labeled. No unknown/untitled. If you’re having issues, tag it in your iTunes/Winamp and keep uploading to your DJ queue until it shows up properly.
• Please turn your auto-awesome off, if you have one.
• As usual, the AFK rule is in effect. When you are on stage, be sure to participate in the room (vote or chat) or you will be removed from the decks and disqualified from the battle.
